5 Ways To Effortlessly Raise Money For Good Causes

There are a whole magnitude of pressing issues happening in our society and across the world right now. If we all did a little bit extra to help then the world would undoubtedly be a better place. As well as signing more petitions, volunteering more, and living a more sustainable lifestyle, there are plenty of ways that you can raise money for charity without spending your own money. Here are some ways that you can effortlessly raise money for very worthy charities.

Gener8Ads

Gener8Ads is a chrome extension that allows you to earn points every time you see an ad as you browse the internet. You’re then able to exchange these tokens in their marketplace for charity donations or exclusive prizes.

I’ve had the Gener8ads extension for a year now and have won £100 and claimed £15 worth of amazon credit. Some of my donations include The Australian Red Cross, Greenpeace UK, Women in Sport and FareShare UK. The average user earns around £2.50 a week, and around £750 is donated to charity every month.

Hold App

The Hold App rewards you with points for staying off your phone – encouraging you to be productive! You can earn 10 points for every 20 minutes you remain off your phone.

150 points = a £3 donation. Currently you can only donate once a week to MQ. MQ is an international mental health research charity that supports researchers to explore new and better ways to understand, treat and prevent mental illness. A weekly £3 donation is the equivalent of you staying off your phone for just over 3 hours.

I’ve been donation my Hold earnings every week since January 2020 and have so far raised £48 via the Hold App.

EasyFundraising

EasyFundraising works like a cashback website. You earn a small commission on any purchases you make online. You can also download the easyfundraising chrome extension for a donation reminder.

Sign up to EasyFundraising and select your preferred charity to raise funds for them every time you shop online. Each month you’ll be emailed a summary of how much money you’ve raised through the site.

My chosen EasyFundraing charity is The Snowdrop Project. They’re the first charity in the UK to provide long-term, community support for survivors of human trafficking.

Amazon Smile

Support a charitable organisation by shopping at Amazon via smile.amazon.co.uk. Amazon donates 0.5% of the net purchase price of eligible purchases to a charitable organisation of your choice when you make a purchase through Amazon Smile.

The 2,000 UK charities now registered with AmazonSmile include British Red Cross, RSPCA, Cancer Research UK, Magic Breakfast, The Royal British Legion, Save the Children, Scottish Women’s Aid and WWF UK. AmazonSmile has raised over $150m for charities worldwide and over £1.9m for UK charities since launch.

Tickr

Tickr is an ethical investment app that allows you to invest in clean water and energy, equality education, or technology for good. Open a Tickr account with promo code emmaj8874 (on the very first page) and get a £10 free investment 2 trees planted in your name.

I’ve already invested £40 in companies like First Solar. First Solar who produce solar panels worldwide and power more than 8 million homes, reducing C02 by 12 million metric tons per year.
